Why Soundroom exists
“I built Soundroom to teach myself how to make music.”
After finding music software overwhelming for years, Keith Mountjoy began building a space where he could learn by making. What started as a side project grew into Soundroom Creator.

Running the mixer and running local AI models have different requirements. CPU new-music generation needs 26 GiB of available RAM; CPU reference generation and experimental Strings need 18 GiB. Total installed memory is not the same as available memory.
A 16 GB PC cannot meet those CPU generation requirements. Compatible GPU options have separate requirements. Optional hosted generation runs on cloud compute through your Pass, so it does not need a local AI model or powerful GPU.
